Carvin Serial Number Decoder

Helloooo forum, Sorry to create another amp thread, but I didn't want to step on anybody's feet in the other threads. In any case, in light of having a 4003 on the way I've wanted to upgrade my G-K Backline setup. I keep looking at all of the options (G-K, Ampeg, Ashdown, Hartke, etc.) but I keep coming back to Carvin. I have yet to read a bad review and their prices are too good to be true! I was looking at this setup: BX600 600W amp BR118 1x18 cab BR210 2x10 cab So, I just want to know what the owners think. What other equipment have you played and what about Carvin convinced you it was the best for your RIC bass? Many thanks, Dan.

I played the exact setup you're describing (except with a 4 X 10 cab, as they didn't have a 2 X 10 in stock) at the Carvin store in Hollywood last month. It was the best bass sound I have heard yet for my 4001. It was plentifully loud with lots well-defined, punchy bottom (obviously, from an 18') and loads of tight top end. It got a little warm and fuzzy (but not sloppy) when I played double stops and went exploring above the 9th fret. Several employees and customers came over to check out my Rick and marvel at the killer tone, which was easy to get. I'm sure with tweak time, it would be utterly awesome. For the price, it will be hard to beat.

Due to the amount of customization available on Carvin basses, identifying the specific model can sometimes be difficult. Serial numbers can be of some help in. I'm looking at buying either this setup or a similar rig with a G-K head and Hartke cabs. Danieljw, welcome to the forum I play through a Carvin RL1000 with a 4x10 and a 1x18. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Here's a couple shots of it.

I have some Carvin guitars as well. I got turned on to Carvin by a local guitarist, who is a friend of my Dad's, and have not been disappointed with any of their products. Made, loud as hell, very versatile tone. The BX600 set up your considering will not disappoint you.

You could jump ahead a step or two, and go for the BX1200 dual mono block (bi-ampable) head with the new BR410 and the BR118, and never worry about another bass amp. I've been playing my 4003 through an old (well, it didn't used to be old!) Carvin PB-500 head for just about 15 years now. Back when I was younger, I used to use the Bi-Amp feature much more than I do now. I ran it through an 18' bottom and a 4x10 top cabinet. More than one bass player told me that it was the best sounding bass stack they had ever heard. These days I'm in my 40's and just can't bring myself to lug the 18 around unless I have to. It still gives my 4003 a big hairy set even with just the 4x10.

The situation is reaching breaking point, with the thirsty prisoners on the verge of total rebellion against Lechero and Mahone ready to collect the bounty on Whistler, when Michael's explosive detonates and clears out the blockages in Sona's plumbing, allowing water flow through the pipes and giving the prisoners as much water as they need. Prison break season 3 torrent download kickass. He takes matters into his own hands, obtaining alcohol and plastic bags to create a crude explosive which he takes into an engineering section of the prison and places in a pipe. With his options short, Michael tries to make a deal with Luchero in order to get Whistler's bounty lifted, but Lechero doesn't even hear him out after T-Bag calls Michael a 'back-stabbing snake'. Once she leaves, it is revealed that Lincoln gave her a fake copy. The Company observes the meeting, and the next time Lincoln meets with Susan B she demands the book from him.

From ebay wiki [please note I have copied this text so its not lost. Info seems to add significantly to the Fender site info]. =============================== Any Jackson that says 'Professional' on the headstock is an import.

There are no known/verified 'Prototypes' that were made in the USA and have 'Professional' on the head. Jackson's Serial Number Chart does not cover Imports. Jackson serial numbers do not use 0's as 'blanks' - if there's a 0, it's part of the number. Import neckthrough models are serialized in the following manner: Jnnnnnn; The letter 'J' followed by 6 numbers, with the first number indicating the year of manufacture. J000123 means it was made in 1990, J100123 means it was made in 1991, etc etc. I haven't seen a recent neckthrough import, so they may be using 7 numbers by now. In any event, if the serial number is 'J' followed by more than 5 numbers (including zeroes), it was not made in the USA.
